I don’t know about this. I have never heard ANY Doobie Brothers song on this station.

G’wan now. Try to pick your favorite classic rock tunes from this list of mostly eighties bands.

http://eaglesanantonio.upickem.net/upickem/contest/questions.asp?contestid=129884

or you can email them here and make suggestions as to what they should play, but be careful. They’re a might sensitive and get their widdoe feelings hurt easily.

this list is roughly 150 songs…OK now let’s do some math. 150 songs times 3 minutes equals 7.5 hours of music, which means they play all of these three times a day…at least.

Believe me, their entire library is only a few songs more than the above listed.

Based on a three minute limit, how many songs would there have to be for a “no repeat” Thursday?

24 hours times 60 minutes divided by three minutes equals 480. Looks like 106.7 is just a bit shy of this feat. No surprise.

Any  other self respecting classic rock station in the country would have ten  times what these clowns have listed.

I would bet money that when the Taminator and X get their own show, we’ll shame these guys with our own collection.

I stand at the ready…the seed has been planted…

  1. A very incomplete list. Where is Champagne Jam?

    Molly Hatchet
    Allman Brothers
    and many others are missing.

    • Yeah, where are all the great one hitters from that era like Ram Jam and Head East? And where are all the great pre-Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac tunes?

  2. They pick one Nugent song and that is not even his best. One Alice Cooper song, and again, he has a ton better. No Edgar Winter, Johnny Winter, but they include George Thorogood? Wow, I wonder what they mean by the term classic. I mean, I would have at least have had Earth, Wind, and Fire, and maybe the Ohio Players to represent that type of genre.

    • I thought about doing a spreadsheet for a long time. Just never got around to it. The closest that I have are the tunes that I loaded on a laptop, but it’s only a small fraction of what I have on vinyl and cd. Besides, all the time and effort that it would take would cut into my time on the trout stream………

  3. I have three times as much classic rock on albums out in my garage than this clown show of a radio station.
We have a station exactly like this up here in the Portland area.
The same shit, over and over and over again.
At least 3 Journey tunes every twenty minutes too, 24/7.

Now I know why CD’s and MP3 players got so damn popular.

    • The only station that I really liked in recent years was Little Steven’s Underground Garage on Sirius Satellite, but I only had it for the three month demo. I wasn’t going to pay $15/month for satellite radio when I’m only in the car for a short time each week. I do miss his stuff, though. Now I just put my own stuff on thumb drives and listen to that in the car……
